  • Lunch and all coffee breaks are additional. You can also bring your own food with you, or we can show you the best places to eat that are good value for money.

  • Based on time availability and group decision we may take: Bus ride up to castle (if smdb cannot  hike uphill to castle  by foot) - €5 per adult in cash

  • Horse Coach (in case enough time available until entry time to the castle, participants may individually take horse ride uphill): 

    €8 per person/seat for the drive to the castle

    €4 per person/seat for the return drive

  • 09:00- 09:30 Collection of group participants from meeting points

  • Scenic drive through Austrian Alps( 1,5-3 hours depending on traffic jams)

  • Stop at Zugspitze outlook (20 mins)

  • Stop at Bridge Highline 179 (1 hour)

  • 12:00-13:00 Arrival to Schwangau/castle area

  • Walking to Neuschwanstein Castle and castle tour  (2,5-3 hours in total)

  • Lunch based on your preferences (costs are not incl.)

  • Return to the hotel approx. at 6:00-7:00 pm.

Is Neuschwanstein Castle worth visiting?

Yes. Neuschwanstein Castle is one of the most famous castles in the world and inspired the Disney fairy-tale castle. Located in the Bavarian Alps, it is surrounded by mountains, forests, and alpine lakes, making it one of the most scenic destinations in Germany. 

How far is Neuschwanstein Castle from Innsbruck?

Neuschwanstein Castle is about 110 km from Innsbruck, and the drive usually takes around 1.5 - 2 hours depending on traffic and border conditions.

What is the best viewpoint for Neuschwanstein Castle?

The most famous viewpoint is Marienbrücke (Mary’s Bridge), which offers a spectacular view of the castle above the Pöllat Gorge. There are also several scenic hiking paths and viewpoints around the castle area. Can you combine Neuschwanstein Castle and Highline 179 in one tour?

Yes, it is sometimes possible depending on castle entry times and traffic conditions. Highline 179 is a spectacular suspension bridge in the Austrian Alps and is often included as an additional scenic stop during tours to Neuschwanstein.

Do I need tickets for Neuschwanstein Castle?

Yes, Entry to the castle is only possible with a pre-booked timed ticket issued by the castle administration. Tickets are sold out very much time in advance (1-3 month ahead depending on season). We will reserve tickets to castle Neuschwanstein for you in advance.

Is Mary's Bridge included into tour to Neuschwanstein castle from Innsbruck?

Yes. Mary's Bridge is free of charge to visit. It could be long waiting line to get to Mary's Bridge. 

Can the Neuschwanstein tour include other stops?

Yes. Depending on timing and traffic conditions, the tour may include scenic stops such as Highline 179 suspension bridge or alpine lakes. In our private tours to Neuschwanstein castle we can customize the stops and add Zugspitze Mountain, or castle Hohenschwangau or Linderhof. From point of view of timing, it is difficult to include more the 1 additional stop. 

Can we be picked up from other locaton then Innsbruck?

In small group tours we can pick up participants only from meeting point, unless you are the majority of the group and it is feasible to pick up you somewhere else. In private tours you could be picked up from hotels or other villages and towns in Tirol, for exmple Seefeld in Tirol, Kufstein and etc.
